From July 11-21, forty-one major superiors and “ancients” members of the Society of St. Pius X met at the Motherhouse of the SSPX, the Seminary of Ecône, Switzerland, for the General Chapter of the SSPX. Then, on July 11, it was made public that Most Rev. Fr. Davide Pagliarani had been elected as new Superior General of the Society, and that he will be assisted by Bp. Alfonso de Galarreta and Fr. A Contract of Alliance with Our Lady

May 25, 2018
Traditionally, the Month of June is the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  It is also the time of the priestly ordinations in the seminaries of the Society of St. Pius X of Dillwyn, USA, and Ecône, Switzerland.  On these occasions, let me invite you to meditate on the great connection between the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the priesthood.

Our Help is in the Name of the Lord

After crossing the Red Sea dry foot, the Israelites had to face many trials before reaching the Promised Land. The enemies were both within and without: the seditious, the cowards who pined for the onions of Egypt left behind, and the many tribes who feared the chosen people and blocked their way.

The Good Shepherd

March 24, 2018
During the Easter season, as we contemplate the figure of Our Lord risen from the dead, let us focus on the title of Good Shepherd, one of His most famous titles. We are familiar with the expressions as “The Lord is my Shepherd” or “Jesus as The Good Shepherd”, by which Christians express their personal attachment to the person of Our Lord. But there is a need to sort out a few things, in order to recognize the true meaning of the title of Our Lord as the Good Shepherd in a Catholic fashion, that is to say in a traditional Catholic way.

Persecution strengthens the Church

The life of the great Apostle St. Paul has always been a great source of inspiration for Catholics all over the world, and this is particularly the case in our times.  What is remarkable in the writings of St. Paul, it is the fact that he doesn’t beat around the bush, but always goes straight to the essential to be a Christian not only by name, but with the full extent of the meaning of that name, that is to say, a true disciple of Christ.

When legality replaces morality!

December 31, 2017
For several years now, Holland has been the favoured destination for those seeking a trip.  For Holland was the only country in the world where marijuana was legal.  Over the last few years, American States have been following suit and now, this year, in a feat of hypocritical self-justication the Canadian Government will allow and control its sale for ‘recreational use.’

A light shining in the darkness

November 29, 2017
The beginning of the gospel according to St. John is certainly one of the most inspiring parts of Holy Scripture.  In a very poetic way, the evangelist describes the mystery of the Incarnation of the Son of God.  The Word of God is the true light, that enlightened every man that cometh into this world.  Men were living in the darkness of sin, being unable to see the true light of God.  That is why the world rejected Him, as he could not see the light.
